Nearly 43,000 people were killed in vehicle crashes in 2021, a 10% increase from 2020, resulting in a 16-year high. 10% of vehicle crash fatalities are solely the 15-20 age group.
The sudden loss or extended hospitalization of a loved one, especially a child, can have devastating effects:

The Kailee Mills Foundation helps to rebuild the lives of families experiencing loss and hardship from fatal or non-fatal vehicle crashes through individualized financial assistance, grief counseling, and emotional support through its Kailee Cares Family Assistance Program.

At the Kailee Mills Foundation, our mission is focused on providing support to families affected by vehicle crashes only. Due to limited funding, we currently place an emphasis on vehicle crashes in Texas. We recognize that there are many worthy causes and needs. If your current situation does not directly relate to the aftermath of a vehicle crash, we regret to inform you that you are not be eligible for our specific programs. We are not able to support incidents related to bicycles, motorcycles, pedestrians, or others that are not related to vehicle crashes. Funeral financial assistance can be used towards items such as funeral services, burials, headstones, cemetery plots, cremation, urns, memorials, grave markers, loss of income, and other related costs.
Medical and financial assistance can be used towards extended hospital or rehabilitation stays helps to offset costs for medical, housing, food, and loss of income.
We provide grief support resources for individuals, families, and groups HERE. Grief counseling assistance is available for immediate family members who have lost a loved one in a vehicle crash. Once approved, we cover up to 6 sessions. You may use our preferred list of counselors, whom we have built a relationship with, or your pre-established counselor.
