Kailee Cares Family Assistance

Nearly 43,000 people were killed in vehicle crashes in 2021, a 10% increase from 2020, resulting in a 16-year high. 10% of vehicle crash fatalities are solely the 15-20 age group.

The sudden loss or extended hospitalization of a loved one, especially a child, can have devastating effects:

  • Unexpected expenses of $13,000 on average
  • Grief, post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, financial stress
  • Loss of income
  • Divorce
  • Significant changes to household income

The Kailee Mills Foundation helps to rebuild the lives of families experiencing loss and hardship from fatal or non-fatal vehicle crashes through individualized financial assistance, grief counseling, and emotional support through its Kailee Cares Family Assistance Program.
